Blue's team at the Indigo Plateau

Blue's team never changes: Pidgeot, Alakazam, Rhydon, Exeggutor, Gyarados and Charizard, all at level 100 with perfect IVs and held items. He always leads with Pidgeot. This is his Champion team from FireRed and LeafGreen when you start with Bulbasaur. Unlike Red, he has plenty to say.

Daily Blue FAQ

What is Daily Blue?

Daily Blue is a free daily Pokémon battle against Blue, the Champion at the Indigo Plateau in FireRed and LeafGreen. Every day, every player gets the same random team of six level 100 Pokémon and one official battle. It lives on the same site as Daily Red but has its own team, record and streak.

Is today's Daily Blue team the same as Daily Red's?

No. Daily Blue and Daily Red each draw their own six every day, so you can play both with different teams. Your wins and streaks are kept separately.

What is Blue's team?

Pidgeot, Alakazam, Rhydon, Exeggutor, Gyarados and Charizard, all at level 100, and he always leads with Pidgeot. In FireRed and LeafGreen, Blue's team depends on which starter you pick. This is the one he uses when you choose Bulbasaur.

Is Blue harder than Red?

They are hard in different ways. Red's team hits hard, and four of his six carry Earthquake. Blue keeps more of his original FireRed moves, so expect Sleep Powder, Feather Dance, Intimidate and Future Sight to wear you down instead.

Which rules does Daily Blue use?

Generation 3 rules, run on the Pokémon Showdown battle engine. Whether a move is physical or special depends on its type, and abilities and items work as they did in FireRed and LeafGreen. That is why Sitrus Berry restores 30 HP and Rhydon's Lightning Rod does nothing in a one-on-one battle.

Is Daily Blue an official Pokémon game?

No. Like Daily Red, it's an unofficial fan project and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK inc. or The Pokémon Company.
